MRSI strand

I know this forum is about MRSA... but the MRSI strand is also agressively growing in domesticated pets (specially dogs). I was wondering if anyone in this forum has heard of MRSI treatments? My two Sheltie's have had it since Nov 2008 and we are exhausting everything possible for the cure of this strand as well. They have been on Amikacin, Chloramphenicol, Manuka Honey, herbs, Antibacterial and Aveeno Shampoos, etc. I hope I do not offend anyone by posting this here, but I'm desperate. Our dogs have been our family. This is info of the 4 strands: http://www3.niaid.nih.gov/topics/antimicrobialResistance/Examples/mrsa/default.htm 10574

Hi T. Ortega Your story touched my heart...please go to this link and call the owner Shannon Brown on the contact page. I can not say personally but his product may be worth a try for your pets. Best to all your family, Deborah http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?Clk=3499653 10627

My cat had a strain of MRSA and e-coli. He had cancer & a huge open wound on his head from an infection caused from a surgery not done correctly. I don't think I spoke to his vet about treatment because he was already getting hyperbaric oxygen treatments, and that kind of helped kill it. If you can't find anything, see if there is a vet who does the HBOT and inquire about treating MRSAs. 10653

Go to RiteAid or CVS and buy Hibiclens and wash your pet in it and apply StaphAseptic every day. Clindamycin for humans and Bactrim TMP DS is given for humans. I am sure your vet has an equivalent. 10666

I do hope your litle Shelties are doing OK as I notice that they have had MRSA for some time now. This is my first ever reply to a forum and I was on here specifically to see if there was anyone I could help. I am in the process of setting up a website for pet care called www.silversolpetcare.com. The silverx solution has been US Patented and proved to kill the MRSA bacteria. The liquid is available to order now and can be used both topically and internally. If there are external skin areas that need treatment, you can use the liquid solution temporarily until a new gel is to be released sometime in August. My email address is on the website if you would like to contact me and let me know how you go.Regards LizzieB Australia 10698
