can anyone tell me the smell of MRSA?

I had a tummy tuck in Dec, I got ascites from the wound not healing . the Plastic surgeon had to aspirate, but the cleansing technique he used was "lacking" shall we say ... I had a cyst on my ovary burst 3 weeks ago .. I hemorrhaged and almost died.
I have never had any female /ovary problems before..
I was referred to an oncologist who wants to do a complete hysterectomy..
since the ovary burst, I noticesd a sicky sweet discharge odor .. I told the Dr. about it .. she put me on flagyl for 1 week.. It went away in two days .. it is now 1 week after antibiotics finished, and the smell is back ..
I made the connection that although it is really strong now .. since the surgery in Dec I had a mild odor, but frequent baths kept it in check.. now the smell is terrible 2 hrs after a shower
DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHAT MRSA SMELLS LIKE?
also .. could I have it in my abdomen .. and not be running a fever or have elevated white blood cells? I am scheduled for the hyst.. right after this semester ends .. I am scared .. it may be unecessary if it is the bacteria?
how do I get tested for this?

Most bacteria have an individual odour which can be detected using gas chromatography.

If you are smelling a 'perculiar' odour this can only be due to bacteria on the skin surface. You say you had a tummy tuck, and I know from experience, that if you scratch the surface of skin, bacteria seem to congragate, and you can smell this yourself by running your finger along the scratch.

If I was in your shoes and was worried by this, I would try and speak with a specialist to sort the problem. I personally do not think you have too much to worry about apart from having a nast smell caused by bacteria which needs to be sorted.

I have post surgical MRSA. It was a simple procedure gone wrong. The
MRSA also went to my left sinus and emitted a horrible smell like the
smell of death. Couldn't figure out where the stench was coming from at
first. One day I blew my nose and it was clear, just clear. I smelled it
on the kleenex and it smelled just as horrible. I'm 68.

The smell of different wounds can vary a lot. Then you add the bacteria
to the wound & you can have 2 smells mixed together. Necrotic wounds for
example can be quite foul smelling, if you add MRSA the wound will still
smell foul. Often, older wounds not caught early absolutely wreak.
Because the contents may be dead & rotting. I've seen MRSA with
seemingly no smell & other types of staph that were perfectly foul
smelling.
So, I don't know if this answers anything, but there it is. Good luck to
you all. It's not easy to wonder if you have MRSA. I'm sorry to hear it.
