Hi, only quick post as in so much pain today. I had mrsa sepsis and c diff in summer 2008 and have now been diagnosed with ME by my GP. I've only had the symptoms (not listing them all now) since the infections in which I was extremely poorly. I wanted to ask if my gp can refer me to any specialists regarding the ost mrsa sepsis infection, because of the symptoms I've been getting???! Had anyone been referred to a specialist? And what kind of specialist? Would be really grateful for a reply. 23742

Hi rhian again , what symptoms are the worse ? i would speak to your GP regarding your symptoms to see if he/she could refer you to any specialists that could help you, as this could be quite difficult regarding you being Dx with ME now, your's is quite a complex case regarding doctors beliefs regarding ME/C-Diff & now Dx with ME ie; they dont seem to accept a connection regarding people feeling so poorly after infection (aftermath) ? .if you feel a bit better & up for it, to list your symptoms on here, that would be a start on trying to get the best help/support for you . 23743

Debilating fatigue, sleeping 16-22 hours a day, if don't get this amount of sleep I have increased aches and pains all over body including in my shoulders, wrists, ankles etc. Any activity like going to a hospital appointment or just getting some bread and milk, really kills me, and end up recovering in bed for few days after. Lots of nausea and sickness every day, some abdominal pain. It all affects me on a daily basis and limits me so much. No matter how much I sleep and rest I'm still extremely worn out. And just feeling generally unwell all the time and probe to catching viruses/bugs/colds going around. 23745

Dear Rhian , specialists can be costly & i would not give out information incase i was giving false hope to sufferers , what one thing helps one person may not help another . NHS treatment's are available but it's trying to find them in most areas & you will probably need a GP referral , here is some links for you to read up on if they can be of any help to you ............http://www.meassociation.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=316&Itemid=122&limitstart=3 http://www.measussex.org.uk/ http://ayme.org.uk/article.php?sid=10&id=232 http://www.afme.org.uk/res/img/resources/NHS%20healthcare%20for%20people%20with%20ME.pdf 23747
