mrsa boils, cysts

i have been mrsa positive for about 5 months. what a a pain in the ass. literally. Zyvox tabs dry up my boils but they eventually return, usually in about 2 or 3 weeks. The bacteria is becoming immune to the zyvoz! what will i do next?
I have read some cases on this board similar to mine. what happens next? Do the boils increase, does it go in your blood stream, will the abscesses sprout to larger sizes.
please anyone experiencing this type of mrsa please inform me if possible.
thanks

hi carlos my 15month old son was born with mrsa and we are now both carriers. his skin used to come out in the boils and pimples but since i started using tea tree bath lotion and putting tea tree cream on them they only now appear a few times a week. hope this helps.

Hi Carlos,
I think you will be helped by going to the CDC website to read about CA-MRSA, or community aquired MRSA; that it is typically harmless and does not enter the bloodstream, especially in otherwise healthy people. Obviously, you have a case of reinfection and may need to examine hand washing techniques and use of towels, or other infected items. Also, my dermatologist recommended I apply Bactroban(mupirocin) to my nostrils, while I also treat the boils. I have just been examined today, for 2 boils, that probably are MRSA. I have been craving Vitamin C rich foods, fruit and vegetables for several days, and I bet that is a big help, too. Regards to you.

i have been battling mrsa for about 10 months now. my 3 children are infected also and this is truly a battle since i ca'nt seem to get any help from the doctors i've seen. my children were given sulfa-trimethoprim and recovered . i started breaking out with blisters after the third dose and discontinued it. I tried other antibiotics to no avail. The clindamycin actually made my colon start bleeding so i'm wondering if i should just keep suffering from the mrsa instead of the side effects of the medication.i've had it come in the form of impetigo on my scalp, pimple looking bumps on my face and now i have a huge boil on my bottom. i've tried the mupirocin that they keep giving but i've seen no improvement. tea tree oil does seem to help though. i use it a few times a day now.my uncle died from mrsa in 2003 after spending a week in intensive care for a supposed spider bite on his tongue. i honestly believe that if he would have been diagnosed properly and given the right medication he would still be here today. i think here in america people are dying from this because our doctors dont or wont do anything about it. i've seen personally the loss of a wonderful human being because of it. i'm at my whits end with these doctors that are supposed to be here to help us but seem to do more damage than good. hope it's better for u guys over there. good luck and God bless,

I discovered a lump under my arm and being female i feared the worst! I got taken to hospital with severe cellulitis and the lump was huge but i couldn't understand why the doctors wouldn't say out loud what was wrong with me but they removed the lump and i only have one in my groin now. This was in march and although i get very tired when the one in my groin has a flare up i immediately felt well once the one under my arm had been cut out.

I have been diagnosed with folliculitis in the groin, I was given twice antibiotics, still hasn't cleared. I had a colposcopy, and twice smear tests in the last 6 months. Its quite painful, could this be a sign of mrsa. what should I do next.

I have beeb breaking out with boils from the waste down for a year now. I take a antibiotic and then within 3 to 4 weeks their back. They're red, swollen and very painful. I have one now in the crease of my leg. Really painful. How can I tell if it's MRSA or not and can I pass it to my kids.

there are a couple of things out there doing miracles on MRSA. One is called byotrol, its a new product that can be used to sanitize body parts and everyother non bio material known to man. Not only does it kill viral/bacterial microbes but it prevents them from taking root on any surface. Evn kills fungus etc, all by preventing replication until microbe "times out" and dies.
Then there is phage therapy. Every bacteria/virus has a phage that thrives on it. You don't hear alot about it here, but in Georgia (USSR) and Warsaw and in some places in the US and Britain the treatments are available. If this is ongoing for y'all, it would be worth taking a culture and sending it in for a phage match, as long as you have the time and you'll stay infected until you address it once and for all, why not go for it? Both of these things I have mentioned are for sure in terms of being majorly helpful to mrsa victims and those exposed to them. Don't forget either to wash any shared clothes and towels etc in bleach and hot water. Add Byotrol once you get it too, NOTHING will live through that stuff and it won't hurt you and its biodegradable.
Good luck to all of you

I finally found this Byotrol stuff online in the US and it works great. Only need to put it on once a day. also takes care of any body odor. It goes by Stay Clean Hand sanitizer and can be found at Germcure.com or 1800germcur. Good Luck

I have had reocurring mrsa for 1 and 1/2 years. I do notice that stress seems to triggers it more than when I am not anxious. I now have had about 8 episodes of mrsa, each time with about 8-10 boils and/or cysts of varying sizes. I have been hospitalized twice for deep tissue mrsa on my abdomen. Every doc I have seen thinks I have a depressed immune system and that why I keep getting it; however, I eat pretty healthy, although I am overweight. Is there any hope this will ever stop!!!!! Right now I have a swollen bump on my thigh, one under my armpit and one on my breast. I now have about 50 scars from this horrible thing. I think I got it at a pre-school where I taught. Any encouragement or assistance would be so appreciated.
